Illustrator Ð Exercise 1 Drawing Practice

Circles, Squares, Triangles

 

 

Part I -  First Class Session-Hand Sketches using circle, square, triangle template.

Complete during lab-Sketch three pages

Incorporate each shape into sketches using the sketch pages that you print- out.  There are:

            Circles, Squares and Triangles.

Use only black ink or pencil.

Use line drawings and shading if appropriate.

Put your name on each page and go on to Part II at next class period

 

Part II Ð Second Class Session- Drawing  With Illustrator-After our introduction to Illustrator you will

draw one full page (circle square triangle) using IllustratorÉchoose best examples from your pencil sketches.

 

Due at the end of next lab

 

Copy the template file from the Transfer Folder/Des 16  folder 

Chose your favorite sketches from the exercise in Part I.  You will

reproduce these using the computer and Illustrator. 

In Illustrator toolbar you should mainly work with the Freehand tool. 

You may also use the Pen tool, the Rectangle tool, the Ellipse tool, but use them more sparingly. Feel free to experiment, we will not have discusses all these tools in class.

Complete one circle, square, triangle sheet using Illustrator. Print and turn-in with sketches!
